Strengthening Children’s Ministry through Sunday School Teacher Training and the One-Day Bible School for Children in Resort GKE Tabalong Tanjung

This community service consist of two activities. First, training for Sunday School teachers aimed at equipping them with the use of teaching aids. Second, training for Sunday School children in the One-Day Children’s Bible School GKE, which aims to study the Bible creatively and participatively. The activity was held on April 25-26, 2026, at the Resort GKE Tabalong Tanjung, involving 25 Sunday School Teachers and 66 Sunday School children from seven congregations. The methods used included educational and participatory training through presentations, discussions, demonstrations, Bible readings, drawing, and question-and-answer sessions. The GSM training covered the use of teaching aids from Bahan Ajar 3B Sekolah Minggu GKE and the creation of teaching aids from nearby objects. Meanwhile, during the two sessions of SASHA GKE, the ASM learned about the Bible classification and the outline of God’s work in the Bible. GSM participants gained insights and inspiration for varying their storytelling methods, while the children’s responses during the activities and the Bible Quiz indicated that they were following the main points of the lesson.
